Indivisible is proud to endorse Jamie McLeod-Skinner for Oregon’s 5th Congressional District. Jamie would make history as Oregon’s first out LGBTQ member of Congress and be a welcomed progressive voice in Congress. Jamie is a true problem solver who shows up, listens, and finds the resources to meet peoples’ needs. Indivisible endorsed her in 2018 and we’re excited to back her again.
Jamie is taking on Blue Dog Rep. Kurt Schrader, who has blocked progress and watered down popular parts of President Biden’s Build Back Better agenda. Schrader blocked a measure to lower prescription drug prices; at the same time, he’s a major recipient of money from Big Pharma, raking in over half a million dollars from the pharmaceutical industry over his career. Jamie knows that solutions will not come from those profiting off our pain, which is why she’s never taken money from Big Pharma, fossil fuel polluters, or other corporate PACs.
We know Jamie McLeod-Skinner will be a strong voice for her constituents and ready to address the climate crisis and its impacts, help our working families and economy recover, and protect our democracy.
